The second phase of work has started in a £15m scheme to revamp a Salford shopping centre.
Walkden Town Centre, based on Bolton Road, will get a new external façade which is set to take around 16 months to complete, with workers already on-site.
Construction firm City Build was appointed the main contractor for the redevelopment, which is being led by Derwent Estates on behalf of the Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation.

The redevelopment was approved by Salford council last summer, giving the green light for plans to create a new 'high street style' boulevard with timber street furniture, breakout seating areas, and low level planters.
At the time, bosses behind the scheme said it would involve demolishing around 180,000 sq ft of the existing retail space within Egerton Walk and Victoria Square.
It also included creating a pedestrianised link connecting a newly formed main entrance of the shopping centre to Manchester Road East and High Street.
