£1.3m funding secured to build out Beverley's Costa and Burger King drive-thrus

Cookridge Estates has secured the finance for the East Yorkshire development

Developer Cookridge Estates has secured the finance to deliver the new drive -thrus for Costa Coffee and Burger King in Beverley.

The developer behind two drive-thru units being built in Beverley has secured funding to complete.

Cookridge Estates is delivering the project on Minster Way, with Costa Coffee and Burger King having pre-let the locations.

Aldermore bank has now provided a £1.3 million commercial development finance loan to the West Yorkshire business, as it builds as part of the larger roadside and retail development.

It also includes a Lidl food store, which is trading, and a plot for a petrol station and shop which is also currently under construction.

Duncan Waller, managing director of Cookridge, said: "We’re delighted to work with Aldermore on the final phase of the Minster Way development. Construction is underway for the Costa and the Burger King on time and budget."

The development is situated a mile to the south east of Beverley town centre at the roundabout junction of Minster Way, which forms an outer ring road for the south east quadrant of the town.

David Whitehouse, property development manager at Aldermore, said: “This deal is a fantastic example of the work we’re doing in the north of England. The two drive thru units are in a prominent location and within the wider development, there are complementary uses which will all attract customers.”

Iain Bryson, head of property development and specialist property at Aldermore, described it as a "well located pre-let commercial property development," stating the bank was delighted to be working with Cookridge.
