Fit out firm OP has been recruited by property agency CBRE for its new offices in Birmingham.

CBRE announced in June that it had struck a deal for 16,500 sq ft of space in Three Chamberlain Square on the £1.2 billion Paradise estate.

OP will now work alongside the agency's own project management team with the aim of moving from its current home in Temple Row early next year.

The new workplace will house the company's 150 staff and provide meeting and event spaces and a business lounge for clients and colleagues visiting from its global network.

Will Ventham, managing director of the Birmingham office, said: "Having outgrown our existing office, the move gave us the opportunity to revisit our accommodation requirements.

"Attracting and retaining the best talent is a priority for us so it's important that our working environment is not only functional but inspirational too.

"OP rose to this brief. The proposed design is a homage to Birmingham and its key buildings.

"Materials used are recycled and largely locally sourced, reflecting CBRE's culture, sustainability values and our ambition to decarbonise our operations by 2040. We can't wait to reveal our new home in January."

OP's creative director Claire Stant added: "We are excited to be working in partnership with CBRE to create a workplace that truly celebrates its people and their place within the West Midlands.

"By embedding sustainable and human-centric workplace principles, the design will foster collaboration, imagination, wellbeing and pride.

"It will serve both as a showcase for their expertise and as a welcoming space to engage clients."

Three Chamberlain Square is the fourth office building to be completed on the Paradise estate and deals have also been struck with financial services firms EY and Forvis Mazars to take space there.
