Property agency JLL has appointed a new head of its Midlands team.
Stuart Smith will lead JLL in the region from the firm's Birmingham office, having been with the agency for 20 years. He will retain his national role as head of industrial and logistics valuations across the 海角视频.
Mr Smith is replacing Ian Cornock who is taking on a new role and will head the business' regeneration growth initiative, advising clients on delivering economic, social and environmental value through new real estate projects.
Mr Smith said: "This year will be pivotal for Birmingham and the wider Midlands region.
"The global spotlight is shining on us as we gear up to host the Commonwealth Games and there's a progression of numerous infrastructure projects that will help the region to support its people and boost its local economy.
"Having lived and worked in the region for the last 20 years, I am passionate about supporting the people and places that make the Midlands so special so I can't wait to get started."

In other property appointment news, commercial property agency CBRE has appointed Theo Holmes as the new head of its office agency team in Birmingham.
Mr Holmes joined the consultancy in 2004 after which he qualified as a surveyor before progressing to director level within the office agency team.
In his new role, he will continue to lead investor leasing business across Birmingham where has worked on tenancy deals for Brindleyplace, Mailbox and Alpha Tower.
Mr Holmes has replaced Will Ventham who took over as head of the Birmingham office in September after predecessor Martin Guest began a new role as regional managing director of the firm's Midlands and South business, having been head of Birmingham since 2005.
Also in CBRE's Birmingham office, Andrew Round has been appointed as senior director of economic development.
He will provide clients with advice to facilitate new development by assessing need, understanding impacts and promoting social and economic benefits, alongside building business cases for public funding.

Solihull housebuilder Hayfield has made three promotions in its team.
Ranjit Kang has stepped up to marketing director, Oliver Pocock is now senior engineering and technical manager and Marc Rose has been promoted to customer relations manager.
Ms Kang, who joined the firm from Kier Living, runs a multi-disciplinary team, managing all online and offline campaigns.
Mr Pocock is the technical and engineering lead on a number of Hayfield's live developments while Mr Rose will undertake a full suite of customer care duties in his new role.

Birmingham development group SevenCapital has appointed Simon Howard as group sales and marketing director.
He has joined from housebuilder Berkeley and will lead the global sales function at SevenCapital, serving domestic and international clients looking to purchase property across the 海角视频.
His role will be instrumental in the developer's expansion across the South East and London.
In addition, Sophie Taylor has joined the business as PR and social media manager and Sam Lovatt as digital marketing manager.
Midcounties Co-operative has appointed Kathryn Lyddon as its head of property as it embarks on a significant investment programme during this year.
She will take responsibility for leading the society's property, acquisition and development function as it continues to implement its growth and investment plans.
Midcounties, which operates food retail, childcare, travel, online healthcare and utilities trading groups under the Your Co-op brand, has confirmed plans to open ten new food stores in 2022 at a total investment of more than £5 million.
In her new role, she will provide expertise and support across the society's property portfolio.
Estate agency Centrick has expanded its commercial team in Birmingham, welcoming two new recruits and promoting Kat Nolan to head of valuation.
Joining the team as an agency graduate is Ryan Cheema who will support its work with a range of institutional and private clients across the retail, office and industrial sectors.
Ben Fish will be moving into the role of valuation surveyor after spending the past five years in Avison Young's rating advisory team.

Birmingham-based Principle Estate Management has promoted Danielle Lannon to associate director after she qualified to become the firm's sixth chartered surveyor.

She manages commercial investment properties and residential apartment developments at Principle, specialising in looking after residential management company clients.
