Bryt Energy finds new home for Birmingham base

Firm will relocate across city's business district after striking office lease deal with Bruntwood SciTech

Bryt Energy has agreed terms for new office space in Cornerblock in Birmingham

A renewable energy provider has struck a deal to relocate its office across Birminghm's business district.

Bryt Energy has agreed terms for a 12,500 sq ft base in Cornerblock, in Cornwall Street. It currently operates from 1 Victoria Square.

Bryt Energy supplies º£½ÇÊÓÆµ businesses with 100 per cent renewable electricity, sourced solely from solar, wind and hydro power.

It was established in 2016 by Norwegian outfit Statkraft, which is one of Europe's largest generators of renewable energy, and aims to support British businesses with their transition to net zero.

The company will join tenants in Cornerblock such as digital transformation firm Kainos, cyber insurer Beazley and risk solutions provider Sedgwick.

Bryt Energy's managing director Ian Brothwell said: "Without our incredible team, we wouldn't be able to deliver on our purpose and, as we continue to grow, this space will help us towards our sustainability goals while supporting our talented team as we help British businesses towards theirs."

Cornerblock is owned and managed by Bruntwood SciTech, part of the Manchester-based Bruntwood property group, which also runs the city centre tech campus Innovation Birmingham.
