Black Country office block sold for £2.6m

Whitehall House has been acquired from Mucklow by a private investor

Whitehall House, Halesowen

An office block in the Black Country has been bought for £2.61 million.

Whitehall House in Halesowen has been acquired by a private investor.

The 21,139 sq ft property is fully let to tenants including the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities & Local Government, law firm PM Petherbridge and housebuilder Barratt Homes.

It was bought from property group Mucklow which has previously used the three-storey block site as a head office.

The freehold building has a current total rental income of £251,437 per annum and comes with 72 car parking spaces.

Jewellery Quarter-based commercial property agency Siddall Jones acquired the building on behalf of the purchaser.

Managing director Edward Siddall-Jones said: "This significant investment by our client is a clear indication of continuing strong demand for good quality office buildings, let under strong covenants that provide long-term value and the opportunity to enhance income in the future."
