Bauer secures new home for Birmingham team

Company behind well-known radio brands will relocate staff next year to office block in Edgbaston

Bauer has signed a deal for space at 54 Hagley Road

Media group Bauer has announced a new home for its operations in Birmingham.

The company, which owns well-known radio stations such as Kiss and Planet Rock, has taken space at 54 Hagley Road in Edgbaston.

The building will become home to Free Radio and Greatest Hits Radio Midlands as well as also a presence for Bauer's other brands.

It is relocating from Oozells Square in Brindleyplace, having signed a ten-year lease for 3,652 sq ft on the ninth floor.

It is being fitted out with new studio and vocal booths, with all existing programming, sales and charity teams expected to relocate in the new year.

Gary Stein, group programme director for the Hits Radio network, said: "We're excited by the new chapter this move marks for Bauer in the º£½ÇÊÓƵ's second city, particularly as it gears up to host the likes of the Commonwealth Games in 2022."

Richard Williams, from Colliers which is the joint letting agency for 54 Hagley Road, added: "After a busy few months of welcoming new occupiers to the building, we are pleased to have secured Bauer Media as the latest member of our increasingly diverse tenant community."
